Summary: 

This role will primarily support the tax function, while also providing administrative assistance to other departments as needed. This position requires the use of independent thinking in performing responsibilities and requires strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.  This position is exposed to confidential information requiring the use of appropriate judgement.

What you’ll be contributing: 

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. 
• Assist in the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns
• Maintain accurate records of tax filings and payments
• Assist in quarterly sales tax rate updates
• Sales tax exemption certificates management
• Property tax bill processing and management
• Communication & coordination with property tax consultants
• Provide support to the Finance department, including data entry and document management
• Wire Transfer & Cash Receipt processing
• Shipment reporting for business partners
• Ability to learn and provide backup in all areas of accounting
• Handle general office duties
• Perform special projects as needed
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.  

To succeed in this position, you will need:

• Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. 
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Associate's Degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative or accounting, or related position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
